Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How long do the products last?

Thanks to traditional processing methods, our South Tyrolean specialties have a natural shelf life – ranging from several months to a year, depending on the product. The exact shelf life is printed on the respective product label. For maximum enjoyment, we recommend storing them in a cool, dry place.

What is the best way to store the products?

To ensure you can enjoy our South Tyrolean specialties for a long time, we recommend storing them in a cool, dry place. The optimal storage conditions for each product can be found on the label.

How is the quality of South Tyrolean specialties ensured?

Top quality is our most important asset – to achieve this, we work closely with select South Tyrolean producers and conduct rigorous controls at every stage of production. From the selection of raw materials to the finished product, traditional craftsmanship is our highest priority.

What to do if a vacuum package leaks?

If you notice air trapped in the vacuum packaging upon delivery, please remove the packaging immediately. The trapped air may result in a natural, whitish layer – this is the normal ripening coating, which is routinely removed before vacuum sealing.

You can easily enjoy the product: simply wash it thoroughly with hot water, dry it well, and cut off a thin slice. After that, your product is ready to eat again, and you can enjoy the full flavor of our South Tyrolean specialties.

Greetings!

We are Christian and Andreas – two genuine South Tyrolean lads from the Speckhof farm. Traveling to regional markets, we bring you the best South Tyrolean specialties.

In our mountain manufactory, we passionately produce traditional bacon and sausage specialties – we are particularly proud of our hay bacon , matured on mountain meadow hay for a distinctive aroma.

Everything is homemade, hand-finished, and of genuine South Tyrolean quality!

Your Speckhof boys,
Christian & Andreas
